A computer game in a genre of first-person Shooter, one of the games Battlefield series, developed by the Studio DICE and published by Electronic Arts. In a series differs from the other parts of the fact that in spite of the great number of issued developers patches the game still has a large number of bugs and defects, which are characteristic of the beta stage. The game was released for PC platforms (Microsoft Windows Vista, Windows 7), PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 25, 2011, in the Russian Federation. «Battlefield 3» is a direct sequel to the «Battlefield 2», which came out in 2005. In the PC-version of the maximum number of players on one map is 64 players, that in the opinion of the Studio is the best value[1] (video with cutting out the game with 64 players for the first time shown in the middle of August, 2011[2]), and in the console versions for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 maximum number of players 24. At the end of June 2012 sold about 15 million copies of the game (not counting sold additions to it)
